WHAT IS INVOLVED
Roffen EPC will provide an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for a household being sold or let. The property is rated from 'A' to 'G', on a point system from 1 to 100, depending on its energy efficiency.
The EPC will show future buyers how much the property will cost to heat and power.
The EPC will specify what needs improvement and an estimate of the instillation costs involved.
The EPC will list what the potential ratings and savings could be - if the recommended measures are implemented, for example, changing to more energy efficient light bulbs.
The EPC will highlight the environmental impact by detailing the carbon emissions the property produces.
The EPC will provide a breakdown based on the property features, for example, ratings on walls, windows, lighting and heating.
A property with high ratings will spend less on energy costs.
All marketed properties need an EPC whether selling a home or letting. Roffen EPC can provide a quote over the phone or via direct email. We are contactable through our website.
The EPC will be valid for 10 years and be compliant with government laws and regulations until the tenure is over.
The survey will take between 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the size of the property.
It will be carried out by one of our accredited Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA).
They will need full access to the property, for example, areas like gardens, lofts and the bedrooms.
